PUNE: Audi India on Tuesday introduced the beginning of production of mid-sized premium SUV Q5 at SAVWIPL plant in Aurangabad.
With Q5, the German carmaker shall be resuming its native meeting of SUVs right here. Audi Q5 is anticipated to go on sale by end-October.
Audi had suspended the gross sales and production of Q3, Q5 and Q7 with the impact of BS6. The 2021 Audi Q5 will compete with Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
“We plan to launch the locally-produced Q5 in November. We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. So far we are doing extremely well in spite of the fact that some of our volume models like Q range are not there in full strength,” information company PTI reported, quoting Audi India head Balbir Singh Dhillon.
The Q5 shall be Audi’s ninth product in India in 2021.
