Humanities Charitable Trust, a Kozhikode-based charitable organisation, launched a neuro rehabilitation programme below its Care Home close to the Government Medical College in Kozhikode on Sunday. The rehabilitation programme was inaugurated by Abdulla Katukandi, Rafeez Hidaya, Sangeetha Hari and Basheer Mamburam, 4 paraplegics who’ve been an inspiration to many due to their efforts to beat the incapacity. Noted businessmen of Kozhikode M.P. Ahamed, P.Okay. Ahamed and N.Okay. Muhammadali launched the rehabilitation centre, Kerala Institute of Neuro Rehab programme and web site of the programme respectively on the event.
The Neuro Rehabilitation Programme envisages full and free rehabilitation of those that have been rendered partially or fully immobile as a result of illness or mishaps. The programme gives scientific remedy and physiotherapy for such people thus enabling them to regain their regular life.
